I am an expert parent with a wealth of knowledge and experience from over sixteen years of navigating SEN legislation. I have certified legal training that enables me to support you with accessing the rights of your children and young adults. I offer timely hands-on independent support, guidance and advice for parents and/or carers of children with SEND or suspected SEND in Cambridgeshire and beyond.

 

My expertise covers children and adults aged between 0-25 who have additional needs, a disability, a medical need or suspected need and, where accessing education and/or social activities is difficult; and barriers that peers of a similar age do not have? These barriers could be learning, social or medical and are having a negative impact on any area of life, education and wellbeing.

I provide a bespoke, affordable and friendly service that can be tailored to meet your needs as a family. My aim is to encourage, empower and coach parents to become their child’s best advocate, in what can be very challenging circumstances, and to guide you to make the best informed decisions.

You don’t need to be alone, not only is there a knowledable community of parent/carers in Cambridgeshire, there are also services like CISS who offer bespoke hands-on tailored advocacy peer support and services.

My work is open and honest, based on personal and professional experience and always in a steadfast approach. No formal diagnosis is required to access my help, a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.

Whether you need help unpicking your complex case or need a listening ear to help you understand your child’s needs, I can help. My work is all geared towards prompt preventative measures.

My intention is to offer this support to fill the gaps of services in Cambridgeshire, quickly and efficiently. I work collaboratively with parent /carers, services and Cambridge Local Education Authority. I care about easing pressures on systems that are already stretched. My mission is to achieve the best for our children. ​
